My family of 4 adults have one quick day/night in Milan as a stopover in January (after our 2-week vacation in Sicily) before our flight back to the US - so are looking for two rooms at a hotel near the Duomo.
Doesn’t need to be fancy as only sleeping there, but location is key.
Appreciate recommendations!
I’ve stayed at Hotel Gran Duca di York a couple of times for the night before a flight home. It’s comfortable, quiet, and about a two block walk to the Duomo.

Why near the Duomo? Are You flying home from Malpensa, Linate or Bergamo airports?

We stayed at the NH Collection Milano Presidente in August and it was great--comfortable and close to the Duomo.
We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Manzoni on Via Santo Spirito. It was an easy walk to the Duomo and also near the subway. The staff was very helpful in arranging transportation to the Milan Linate airport. This hotel is on a quiet street. Our room had a balcony and was lovely. We would stay there again.
