The London Hotel -- yes, there is a hotel in Milan under that name -- is a good budget hotel that's centrally located only two to three blocks from the Duomo. It's a bit spartan, but centrally located and good for two nights.

hey hey alweisberg
how many people is in your group, how many beds and what days do you plan to be in milan?
so many posters are also looking for "reasonable" hotels, which means different rates to different travelers. what does "reasonable" mean to you in euros? you are traveling during high season with supply and demand, when you find one, book it looking at cancellation policies, check-in is usually 2-4pm and check-out is 10-11am.
it is jubilee 2025 in italy (mostly rome) with millions of people traveling. may not have that big of an effect in milan, but travelers are hoping to see other cities throughout italy. milan airport has become a busy airport using trains or buses. look up train/bus times giving yourself enough time to get to airport for check in, get through passport/security whichever is needed.
it's great you looking ahead of time with less stress when all booked. good luck and enjoy

Thanks for reply. $400 a night, per room. Coming in late one night - and spending next day shopping then flying out the next. Not looking for anything too fancy - but nice enough. Coming from 5 nights in Switzerland. I want to be somewhere easy enough to catch a cab to the airport.

I have twice stayed at Hotel Gran Duca di York which is also near the Duomo. It's directly across the street from the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana if that museum is of interest to you. It took me about 30 minutes to walk to The Last Supper venue with a short diversion to see some ruins I passed on my way, lol.

The staff is really nice, breakfast excellent, great location for the things I want to see/do in Milan.

We stayed at Hotel La Madoninna a couple years ago. It’s about a block south of Piazza del Duomo. I highly recommend it.

I would recommend Hotel Manzoni on Via Santo Spirito, a calm side street. We were able to walk to the Duomo from there, and it is near the metro and Via Montenapoleone. The front desk staff was very helpful.
