Greetings all, Our last day in Italy (Sept 29), we will be riding from Florence to Milan. We're staying in a hotel at the Airport, and are checking our bags in the train station (Milano Centrale) and spending a bit of time in the city (probably afternoon and maybe dinner) before heading to our hotel before our long flight home. We are not interested in seeing the Last Supper (saw it a few years ago). Right now I am thinking Duomo/Galleria/La Scalla-- and maybe one or two other things. We may be museum-ed out after 3 days in Florence. Any restaurants that would be recommended?
We had a delightful dinner on our last night in Italy at Da Bruno in Milano, I think a RS pick. It wasn't cheap, but we were underrunning our budget and pulled out the stops that night, about 95 euros with wine. It was raining that night, adn the service was warm and friendly in a northern Italian way. :-) White tablecloths, a little clubby and old-world. All we did that day was Duomo, Galleria, La Rinascente, and a walk through that general area, although we did see Il Cenacolo as well. Then had to leave our hotel at 06:30 am the next day for MXP. Your plan sounds like a good one.
