Milan for 2 nights, where best area and hotels to stay

Don't know what your price range is.....

I always stay near the Central train station - excellent for all kinds of transportation
Hotel Berna and Hotel Garda are about 2 blocks from station and are across the street from each other. Garda is a little less than the Berna - but I love this location.
Several restaurants in the area to walk to.

I don't know the hotel but the location is excellent. Within 3 minutes walk from everything you want.

Grand Duca di York gets good reviews on booking.com, excellent location; but if you prefer being nearer the train station, the Berna and Garda are very good and you can take the metro to any sights you wish to visit.

We stayed at Hotel Berna. Loved it and would happily stay there again.

I second Hotel Berna! I also have stayed in the Duca de York. It is also very nice. I like the ambiance of the Hotel Berna best. The York is a wee bit stuffier, maybe.....

I usually stay by Milano Centrele station or by Garibaldi for easy train access to the airport as it's usually my last night in Italy. You can find cheap hotels routinely on all the major sites. I usually take the one with the cheapest rates and above average reviews on booking.com

We stayed at Hotel Berna. Easy walk from train station & fabulous breakfast buffet. Metro stop nearby to get to Duomo, etc.
