Milan Duomo Terrace access-how bad are stairs

I understand that access to the Terrace/spires/rooftop at Milan's Duomo is mostly by lift, but also has stairs. I tend to have an issue with narrow stairs (get full on panic attacks). How bad are the stairs? I am about to book tickets, but don't want to do so if it will be too difficult.

Thanks

Hello again. Yes, there's a lift to access the terrace and it's standard to use it going up. The stairs to go down are narrow, steep and in some places the steps are slightly worn. However, there is a lift to go down. It's guarded and located just before the stairs leading down. I was there in 2023 with a friend who had recently had a knee replacement and wore a brace. When we approached the guard he let us use the lift without question. I don't know whether her wearing a knee brace made a difference in the guard's easy acquiescence. Here's a video of the stairs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CzNZ1YdN9j4

The stairs I had trouble with are the last set of stairs up to the full rooftop. I took the elevator up then you walk some of the roof but to access the last bit it's a long run of stairs up to the final portion with no elevator access. The stairs were not narrow (I'd have preferred that, lol) but they have open stone tracery you can see thru down to the piazza below. My particular fear is heights so this bothered me. Going down I waited until some others were going down and walked with them so I could look at someone's back.

The stairs in the YouTube video are the stairwell going down which I did not find particularly closed in.
