Milan Duomo - Gate 3

Hello travelers -

Did a quick search of forum posts and did not see this specific info...

We're holding combo fastpass tickets to the Duomo complex in Milan, and want to follow the guidance to begin our Duomo visit with the rooftop. Our tickets direct us to report to Gate 3 verde at the appointed timeslot.

Does anyone know if Gate 3 Verde is the transept entrance where we hop on the lifts?

My reading suggests that the timed entry feature applies to the terraces (or the lifts to get there) so it makes sense that we would start there.

If Gate 3 is NOT at the transepts, has anyone successfully reported to the transept entrance points to begin their visit holding this fastpass? Would really like to avoid the double security lines if possible - our visit is late June so full contact tourism no question.

As always - thank you in advance to the wonderful community here that helps with all of our questions.

Hey there kbj, I’m just back from 5 days in Milan and I bought the same ticket/pass you are talking about. I got to the duomo 30 minutes early to make sure I could spot the correct entrance. It is clearly marked, you will have no problem finding it. My time was 10:30 but I walked up at 10:20 and they ushered me to get in the line for the elevator. After you are through on the roof you follow the signs to another elevator down and you are in the church. All the signage is very clear.

It is a spectacular church, enjoy!

I enjoyed the rooftop in March, but did not see an elevator to go down. There is a spiral staircase with many steps that ends inside the cathedral.
