Milan Duomo before seeing the Last Supper

We booked to see the Last Supper for 3 PM. We arrive in Milan at 11:30 AM the same day and we are hoping to see the Duomo (and its terrace) before heading over to the Last Supper venue. Just wondering if we would have enough time if we book the Duomo for 1 PM? It's our first time in Milan and aren't sure about the timing. Thank you!

Do you mean flight scheduled to land at 11:30?

Even if on time which you can’t count on that’s being very optimistic
It takes over an hour to get from MXP to Milan center

If by train more realistic but you’ll need to watch your time closely while on roof terrace and allow time to climb down then get to LS

TBH I would consider even this unrealistic

I think you need to arrive LS 30 min before your entry time?

Drop your bags at hotel ( which you’d have no time for in above plan) and maybe go visit Duomo interior first then to LS
Or just have lunch, check out Galeria or orient to your hotel neighborhood
LS is only a 15 min visit

Book your Duomo roof visit after that
You can get back to Duomo easily by 4:15 ish
What is last entry for roof terrace?
I would book 4:30 if available
You’ll end up inside the Duomo when you descend from roof
Not sure what time Duomo closes but it is really worth seeing the interior IMO

Also what time of year?
If in winter when dark by 4:30 I would not want to be up on that roof!
I doubt they allow that anyway ;)

The important thing is that you got the LS tix!
We added the English guide for not much more and it was worth every penny
Excellent
Enjoy!

Yes, I think Christine is correct that you have to be to the Last Supper about 30 minutes ahead of your scheduled time. I stay near the Duomo and it took me about 30 minutes to walk from the hotel to the Last Supper so maybe 35 minutes from the Duomo itself.

This sounds pretty tight. The Last Supper is pretty quick - you are only allowed 15 minutes in the room with the fresco. I'd probably do the Duomo afterwards.

For the Duomo, even if you book the Fast Track ticket with the lift to the top, you still walk around the parapet and have to climb a couple of staircases to get to the actual roof top. I'd say 1 hour is not really enough to do the Duomo + Terraces.

What were you going to go with your bags? Were you going to stop at your hotel?

Thanks so much!

We are arriving by train and our hotel is right next to the train station. We thought we might have enough time if we taxi'd over. Will look for Duomo tix after Last Supper.
