I think he would really like going to the roof of the Duomo. It is surprisingly large and it has a great view. Also in the Galleria shopping center there is a Ferrari store. The store has a Ferrari Formula One race car inside that you can take pictures of and lots of models and Ferrari merchandise. It actually is a pretty cool store.

Not sure when you're going but perhaps a soccer match or a tour of the stadium they play soccer in.
My boys(14,12) have been looking over the guide for when we go and they want to see the DaVinci museum and EVERY gelato store.
