Can anyone recommend a nice, average-priced hotel close to the Milan airport? We are only staying one night.

We stayed at the Best Western Jet Hotel last September. The prices were o.k. and the buffet breakfast was great. They also have a shuttle to/from the airport.

Malpensa or Linate airport? We stayed 1 night at the Holiday Inn Express at Malpensa before we left for home on an early morning flight. They have shuttle service, but it may not start until 5:30 am. Not sure what time they stop. It is also a short walk from a stop on the airport shuttle route between the 2 terminals.

You might get better responses if you define "average-priced" in dollars or euros. Also, have you tried Tripadvisor.com?
