Milan B & B or Hotel

It is with a bit of trepidation that I ask as I have seen mention of a Michelle reopening a similar thread to promote a B & B. I am not Michelle. My husband, daughter(19years) and I are traveling to Italy in August. Yes, just 1.5 months away and I am scrambling to book B & B's (my preference over hotels). We will be arriving in Milan on a Monday (departing Wednesday) and I would like to stay at a B & B near the Duomo or other sights (lots of threads for accommodations near the airports!). I am not thrilled with staying near the train station so Hotel Berna is out. We would like a triple room, with private bath, and AC. Rick says August is usually cheaper, so I am hoping for something close to or less than 150 euros. Does anyone have a suggestion? I've tried a couple of places but they have been booked or on vacation. I'm starting to check hotels - but would really like a welcoming B & B! Thanks for your help!!!

Try booking.com and venere.com. They both include B&Bs, but venere.com allows you look only at B&Bs that are available for your dates. You can rely on the reviews at both sites as having been posted only by actual guests, unlike Tripadvisor. But don't rule out small hotels. They're a lot like B&Bs in Italy.

Michael,
Thanks so much for your help. I will try the websites you recommended and I'll check out some of the smaller locally owned hotels!

You're welcome. And I've just noticed that these sites actually WILL include Tripadvisor reviews if they don't have enough reviews of their own. But they're clearly labeled as TripAdvisor reviews.
