I am visiting italy on a budget trip and i need your help.
I will be in milan for a day and thn going to lake como. I will be staying at Verenna for a day as well
I need budget hotel recommendation where i can cook as ill b carrying packed foods. Anything under 50$ will be fine. Even airbnb or bread n breakfast under 50-60$ will be fine.

Look up options on Booking.com. You can filter by price & kitchen facilities. The time of year will affect prices, also. The lodging I have stayed at both of those locations were more expensive, so I can’t give you any first-hand recommendations at that price point. The reviews on Booking have been reliable when I was choosing places to stay.

Hello miketapurva, and welcome to the forum!
Lake Como is a very touristy place and anywhere near "in season" you may struggle to find this price point around the lake in any of the famous towns or towns served by trains. You might look to stay in Como - a larger city with more options but less charm - or a smaller town reachable by bus which limits the non-Italian tourists.
If you struggle to find lodging you could always do as a day trip from Milan to over the overnight stay.
