We will be staying in Venice but going to Florence (possibly overnight) and also Milan. Are there any tour companies that you would recommend and what was on the itinerary? Any must sees? Thanks in advance. We will be in the general area July 25-August 6 if anything is going on during this time. Probably in the First Week of August we will do both Milan and Florence. Any fabulous hotel recs for an overnight in Florence?
Walks of Italy offers some of the best tours available. They are RS recommended (use the code in Rick's 2016 guidebook for a discount) and have received terrific reviews and recommendations from posters on this Forum who have taken the tours. They offer a variety of tours in Florence and two different tours in Milan. Corporate office is in US so you can pay with credit card in either dollars or euros. We did one of their Florence tours a few years ago and this year we're doing one in Rome and one in Milan. For what they offer and the high quality of the guides I think the prices are extremely reasonable.
Your post is very vague. Some additional basic information would go along way in providing you with answers.
What research have you done so far?
What interests do you have ?
What's already on your itinary?
Have you looked into tour companies that match your interests?
There are propably a million things going on, what did you have in mind and have you looked online yourself?
If you are going to Milan, Venice and Florence, surely you already have some idea what you want to see.
How many days in each city?
Fabulous hotels ? Do you have a fabulous budget ?
How many people are we ?

In Milan, I highly recommend the half-day Viator which includes a visit to see "The Last Supper". It is not always easy to secure a ticket for this amazing work of art, so getting there with this tour is well worth it. This combination bus tour/walking tour is well-priced and informative, providing a pleasant overview of the city. I strongly suggest going to the Viator website and purchasing your tickets in advance, if you are interested in viewing "The Last Supper". It is larger and far more impressive than I imagined. If you are staying overnight in Milan, I would recommend the Milan Hilton. It is less than a block from the central station, which provides easy access to other cities and within the city via train and efficient bus transportation to the airport.
