Does the Malpensa Express train run from the airport to the Cardona metro stop 24/7? Also, does the metro cease running at 00:30 every day? I have been searching their respective websites and am having no luck with this info. I will be attending a concert in the Duomo which will probably not end until around 11 p.m. I am trying to come up with lodging for that night; i.e., at the airport, in the city, etc. Thanks in advance for your help.

Denise, it would help to have some further information. For example, will you need to be at the airport early for your flight, and if so what time? There are Hotels within walking distance from the Duomo and close to Cadorna Stazione, so that might be one option? I believe the Malpensa Express departs Cadorna from 05:57 to 23:27 daily. Buy your ticket at the office in the station rather than on the train, as it will be less expensive. Cheers!

Additional info: I am driving into the area to attend a Andrea Bocelli concert that starts at 9 p.m. I don't want to drive into the city. I will not be flying out the next day. We'll be continuing our trip the next day down south into Italy. One of my options is to stay by the airport at the Hilton. However, I'm not sure I'll be able to make the train back if it stops running at 23:57. As you said, Ken, I may have to stay in the city.

Here is a link to a printed timetable from the Malpensa Express website. http://www.fnmgroup.it/website/file/3229.pdf Looks like the earliest starts at 04:30 and the latest train is at 23:00. There is also a bus that leaves Cadorna at 23:27
