We have a morning flight out of MXP, and will train up from Rome the day before.

Rick mentions some in his book, we stayed in one of those but I don't remember which one.
It's an airport hotel, what can I say? It's a bed.
Just so it has a shuttle to the airport at the time you need.
Or if your fight is too early for the hotel shuttle, that they will cooperate in calling a taxi for you.
Confirm those things before you book.

I will be staying at Moxi's malpensa airport hotel, own by Marriott, in 2 weeks.
Has good reviews and decent price.
