I received an email from The Tour Guy who has interesting guided tours in Milan. My wife and I will be in Milan in late May / early June. I was curious if anyone had experience using this service. We are interested in the Last Supper, the Duomo including the rooftop, and likely the Pinacoteca di Brera and Castello Sforzesco.
Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated
I believe this company is related to The Roman Guy I had a tour scheduled with in 2020 which had to be cancelled do to the pandemic. So likely not just out of the blue.
I was in Milan in September and managed to get Last Supper tickets from the official website. I booked an English tour for 8E extra and the guide was really very good. I also booked the Duomo Fast Pass with the lift to the rooftop, entrance to the Duomo, excavation, and museum. I downloaded and paid for what I thought was the official app but found it fairly useless as it would not advance correctly and sucked a lot of juice from my phone. I also visited the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana instead of di Brera as it had a couple of things I wanted to see.
I am generally one who enjoys tours but I felt I could do these on my own. I only had 1 full day in Milan and these tings filled it, lol.
Do you have a hotel yet? I stayed at the Hotel Gran Duca di York which is right across the street from the Pinocateca Ambrosiana, about a 5 minute walk to the Duomo and about a 30 minute walk to the Last Supper with a side jaunt to look at some unexpected ruins, lol.
I will also recommend the CityMapper app for getting around Milan. I'd used it in Paris with good results and it worked really well in Milan too.
Thanks Pam,
I guess I was trying to hit the easy button. I appreciate your input and detailed response. I have plenty of time to look at getting the passes myself and likely being a bit more in charge of the day. I have a hotel booked but appreciate your suggestion.
Well, the Last Supper tickets are often hard to do. I started looking several months out and caught it when they first opened for September. This is the official ticketing website. They are only selling thru the end of April right now so I would keep a watch over the next 2 weeks to see when they open for May. I am betting it will be soon and if not Jan, early Feb.

TBH, I'd thought I would probably have to go with a tour guide for the Last Supper because I wasn't sure I'd be able to book on my own, but it worked out. I'd definitely get the English guided tour if you don't hire a guide for the whole thing.
I totally understand going the route that causes you less work, though!
We did same as Pam- a few days later I think lol
The English tour of LS was fantastic, I doubt tour guy could compete
We did the fast pass lift to rooftop terrace as well - just note there are still a LOT of stairs , which wasn’t so good for my hip!
We also stayed at Gran Duca di York and highly recommend
