Milan

After arriving at Milano Centrele from the airport we will have between 1 to 1 hour 30 min before our train departs for our first village. We pack light and don't want to check our bags at the station. Is there any good lunch spots close to the station we can walk to and have lunch?

Don't need to visit any sights as we will be back in Milan for that later in our trip. Just looking for a good place for lunch walkable with bags and get us back for a train

Thanks

For me, an hour and a half is tight to leave the station, find a place, sit down, eat and then make sure I'm back in time to make it the platform. There are a few casual sit down spots in the station itself. We ate at a place that served pizza and paninis that was right by the platform entrance. I would eat at the station to avoid feeling rushed.

I agree with eating at the station - there are some very nice places to eat there.
Just look for a station directory board - they are all around and you can see which restaurants/cafes are
on each level.
The map in the post above shows all the "food" places and there are several choices.

I agree, there is a very good self-service restaurant (with wifi) on the second level of the station.

Robert,

I agree with the others in terms of eating somewhere in the station.
'Bistrot Milano Centrale' has ready made panini, pizza, pastries & other ready to eat food.
You never know how much time you will actually have at the station, especially on the day of arrival, due to
unforeseen delays at the airport ( flight delays, time to go through immigration & baggage claim)
