Does anyone know if this service is running? Is there another boat operation that runs from Salerno to Sorrento?

I'm afraid not so far this year. There has been talk of some sort of service in July and August but nothing definite. And if there is it is highly unlikely that it will have the same coverage as previous years. You should considering email a few of the hotels in Salerno to ask them if they know. Good luck.

I had the same question, so I checked with the Sorrento Tourism board. They confirmed that Metro del Mare will not be available this year (I'm going in Sept.). They did provide info on other boat schedules and although they didn't give the company name, the times and cost match up with alicost.it. Now I need to check to see if they'll be running in September when I am there. Hope others can make alternative arrangements too.

I emailed the hotel where we will be staying, in Sorrento, and they said there would be a boat service starting June 20 thru the end of August, and we would get info on this when we check-in (early July). He didn't offer any other information.
