We will be in Messina on Sunday, May 11. I noted that the train schedule is quite reduced on Sundays, so I think the idea of getting to Taormina on Sunday by train isn't as appealing. ItalyTours has a nice trip, but it also goes to Mt. Etna. My DH has COPD and is concerned about the altitude. He is not on oxygen, so he doesn't have that available.
Can anyone with experience with these places give me some insight?
