Looking for advice on the best way to spend 1 day in Messina . I've read that we should head straight to Taormina?? Travelling with a family of 6. We are looking for hidden gems and experiences. we were recommend to go up the mountside to see the views of Mt. Etna and also the Astronomical clock? Would you suggest hiring a guide or is this something we can do our own once we arrive? Assuming transfers from Messina to Taormina are easy? 40 min drive?
