Has anyone flown Meridiana direct from JFK to either Palermo or Naples? I am planning my first trip to Italy and my interest is research of family ancestry in Calabria. Thanks for any help and info.

Hope this helps - I wouldn't worry too much about run-of-the-mill negative reviews (there are only 83 total reviews which is a very small sample size) - people LOVE to complain about everything when it comes to airlines and the ones that have an average experience don't get counted. Seems like an average 3-star airline so just set your expectations accordingly.

I've flown with Meridiana within Europe a few times. No complaints.
However I think they fly to JFK only once a week, so you need to be cognizant of that.
