Merano and Riva del Garda hotel recommendations needed!

We will spend 4 days in Merano and 4 days in Riva del Garda in May. We are looking for a really nice hotel that will be quiet and a short walk to Merano (or in Merano) and near the lake in Riva del Garda. Any suggestions??
