We are three ladies who will be spending a few days in Menaggio in September. We would like to do a day trip to Soglio but will not have a car. (Would have like to rent one for a day but it seems we'd have to get to Como to get a car). I've been all over it seems like a billion websites and there doesn't appear to be an easy way to get there. The Swiss Post Bus Palm Express seems to go through Menaggio and Solgio but I can't seem to find anything that will tell me if you can only do that portion of the trip. Trains, busses and ferries are all options but I can't seem to find a combination that will get us there. Is it possible?

I don't think the Palm Express stops there. You can get to Soglio by way of Chiavenna by Postbus with one change on the way, but there seems to be only one bus each day. You would have to return by way of Chiavenna and Varenna, then boat back across. Use the Swiss rail site SBB.ch to figure it out. It's about 2+ hours in each direction.
