Heading to Menaggio in October and will be arriving be car. We will be staying in an apartment for the week right in town. Does anyone know where one could park overnight?

Where is exactly the address of your apartment? Menaggio isn’t that tiny and maybe your accommodations have parking on the premises. There is free street parking in several spots. I often found street parking in front of the Grand Hotel Victoria, but on weekends, with lots of weekend visitors, I had to park past the Lido near the cemetery (north side), where there are a couple of free parking lots with plenty of available parking. But I was staying on Piazza Garibaldi (right in the center), which is basically a ZTL, in a hotel without parking, and was last there last July, in the middle of peak season. You are going in October, when there are certainly fewer visitors, and your apartment might be in a totally different area and have parking. Check with the landlord if they have parking or where the closest spot would be.
