Anyone stayed at an apartment in Rome that was in a vibrant neighbourhood (food market etc.) seeing how modern day Romans live (of course as well as the ancient ones) but giving the feel of modern day Rome with the criteria of accessible transport.
30 seconds to Campo dei Fiori with the fruit, vegetable, fish and flower stalls set up every morning. I walked there every morning to buy some fresh fruit for breakfast and bread from the bakery located right on the square.
