Meeting Place in Rome?

Does anyone have a suggestion for an easy place to meet a friend near/in the train station in Rome?

My husband and I will be traveling around Italy for a month. A friend is meeting us for a week. She flies into Rome and will take the metro to the train station. We'll be taking a train into Rome from Assisi. We will then, all 3, be traveling on a train from Rome to Naples and onto Sorrento. Time will be tight.

Where can we meet up? Is there a restaurant or easy to find spot somewhere where we know we'll be able to wait for the other?

I will have an Italian cell phone, so worst case senario, our friend can call us, but she's new to international travel, so I'm hoping to make things as easy as possible for her.

Thanks for any help...Ron...suggestion?

McDonalds is as good a place as any in the train station. Cannot miss it.

Yes, Frank and Bob have the right ideas... If you do not wait for them at the end of Track #24 (as it comes into the terminal) McDonald's is very easy to see. Just tell her to come from Track #24 and hang a RIGHT as she comes into the station from the train and head towards McDonald's. It's on the same level as the trains pulling in - Note there is one McDonald's just outside the terminal to the LEFT and one downstairs on the lower level... SO by all means, just tell her to stay on the same level and look for the McDonald's to the right - Stress on the same level!!!!!

BTW, probably one of the few McD's you can get an egg McMuffin for breakfast at - The lower level often only does "Italian breakfast."

Ciao,
Ron

Termini is huge. McDonalds sounds great, but I was in Termini recently and there are two McDonalds within Termini as well as one across the street. The Termini website is www.grandistazioni.it; it might be helpful for you in choosing a meeting place. My first choice would be the front of the Upim store (a department type store).

Cafe Moka near platform 24 where you will be able to sit down and wait, grab a drink or something to eat if you're hungry.

There is a McDonalds inside Termini but all the seating is upstairs. No one wants to drag their bags up a set of stairs. Plus there is another McDonalds outside Termini and no how clear directions are someone always seems to land up at this one instead of the one inside the station.
