We are planning a cruise through the French and Italian Riveria in October. We've heard it's the "rainy season" in the Mediterranean ... Any truth to that? Any idea what we can expect?
We view October as the perfect time to travel - warm and dry. Of course, have to ask, Where did you hear that? We view April and May are the rainy time for that area. We were in that area two years ago from mid Sep to mid Oct and didn't have a drop of rain. But you can always have some rain.
Thanks so much!
The earlier you visit in October, the slimmer chance of rain. As you approach November, the more likely you are to experience rain. After 4 years of wet days in late October, we are arriving this year in early September for some sun!
