Hello i was noticing that there is sort of a measles outbreak in Italy at the moment. I have been to europe many times over the years and havent gotten any shots before. Is this something that should not affect me? Are there things i should look out for? I'm leaving next week for Italy
Why not just get the vaccination and be done with it, if you are concerned.
for recommendations, see:

If you haven't ever had the measles and you plan to travel the world, you should get the immunization. Then you won't have to worry about it. It's hard to believe that there are so many people who haven't either had the measles or had the immunizations; unless for religious reasons, there is no reason not to have gotten those immunizations as a child.
Here's another thread from a couple of weeks ago, maybe you'll find your answer there: https://community.ricksteves.com/travel-forum/italy/around-ravello-mare
This is a subject you should be having with your health care provider, not strangers on a message board.
My one thought on this though is what if you get infected and spread the disease?
I'd agree with Barry: a question for your physician or a Travel Health Clinic which specializes in this sort of thing. Yes, they exist; google to see what's in your area.
(if worried, then Minnesota is off your list as well: having a bit of an outbreak here.)
no, im pretty sure i had the immunization as a kid now that i thought of it. Im just being a hypochondriac
It is either you have or you haven't. It is not I think I did. Measles are not be messed with especially in an adult.
Bryan,
The measles vaccine became available in 1963, so if you were born prior to this time, it's a good idea to talk with your doctor and figure out what course of action is best for you.
A simple blood test will confirm whether or not you have immunity against measles.
Have a wonderful trip!
Agree with those advising you speak to your doctor or travel clinic. You can also see info on this at CDC.
You may also be able to get a lab test for immunity and then you will be advised on getting the mmr..
