Can I be in Italy for over 30 days? Seems like I read that 30 is the max? I'm looking at 32 nights.

remember that that is 90 in 180 throughout the Schengen area so if you go over the border it is the total for all - not 90 in Italy and 90 in Austria and 90 in France, for example.
