MAXXI, does it need advanced booking?

Hi there,

I'd like to visit the new museum designed by Zaha Hadid in Rome next month. It's rather new and there aren't many reviews and tips available online yet. Just wondering if it's necessary to pay extra booking online to avoid line?

Also, the location of this museum is rather remote and has no direct access to public transportations. I'm planning my visit in the afternoon as the museum closes late on Saturdays (10pm), but worries that it might be too late for me ridding a taxi to a metro station and catch the last metro back to hotel in the Termini area... and will it be unsafe to travel in Rome late in the night?

I don't think you'll need advance tickets for that one. Assuming I saw the correct web site, it's a little remote to the centro storico, but nothing I would be concerned about. You may want to try this question on Tripadvisor as well since it is a newer museum, maybe get a wider possible range of opinions.
