I will be spending two days in Matera this September on a RS tour. Can anyone tell me their favorite sites and what they did?
There seem to be over 100 churches and I don't think I will have time to see them all :)

We did this last year. You get to Matera in the later afternoon and have an orientation walk. The next morning there is a lovely walking tour then time off. I remember eating and I’m sure we went to a church or two. Ithink we wandered a lot and relaxed. It is a pretty low key town.
