Since the RS Italy book contains little or no information on Southern Italy, it can be difficult to prepare for this RS tour. I came across this blog which contains a good description of things to see in Matera, several of which were not included in the walking tour with a local guide when I took this trip last month. I thought this might be helpful to those who are booked or are considering this tour.

Thank you! We are not taking a tour but are including Matera in our next trip to Italy.
Yes, thank you as well as we will be there in October.
Great blog Patricia.
Before the tour I found these two blogs and one magazine article:

https://www.alongdustyroads.com/posts/things-to-do-matera-italy

Hope they help others taking the spectacular South of Italy tour.
