I have had quite a few people lately ask me about visiting Matera in Southern Italy...I would REALLY like to recommend a good guide to the area...but have yet to find one :-( The "Blue Guide" is the only one I've found that mentions the inland potrion of So.Italy really (inland Campania and Basilicata) - I would like to find something more in-depth...anyone have a suggestion of one they like? Thanks!

We have found that some of the Insight Guides provide the kind of in-depth treatment you want. I haven't used it, but I know that they have one for southern Italy.
