I am very interested in visiting and learning from these three locations, but am having difficulty finding a way to get there, other than renting a car, which we do not want to do. Bus or train from Rome? Perhaps easier from Bari? Can someone please guide me with an option?
Thanks in advance.

Find your way to Bari (by air or train from Rome), then from there it’s easy to reach all of those destinations by train or bus.

Lecce is on the main Trenitalia railway along the coast, so you have plenty of train options from Bari or Brindisi.

I have been in Provence for the month of March And we'll return home on the 31st. I have already planned and fleshed out my Southern Italy trip for the month of November. I will be traveling where you want to go so I can provide you the specifics when I get home, or shortly thereafter.
Thank you, Roberto, Treemoss2, and Janet; all helpful replies. Don't forget me, Janet; I will await your message upon your return!
