Market for cheese/meat/bread near Colosseum?

We are now in Rome, in an apartment on Via di San Giovanni in Laterno, just 4 blocks SE of the Colosseum! Do any of you know of a nearby market or grocery store where we could get meats/cheeses/bread to bring back to the apartment? What could i search for on my ipad map? We see lots of restaurants, but not many markets. Thanks!

This suggestion is for a place by Termini, in case you are training it. In the downstairs level of the station is a great grocery market where you will find everything from fruits and Veggie's to pasta dishes and bottled drinks, as well as items to create sandwiches with. Sorry I don' have suggestions for near the Colloseum.

Why not ask the people who you're renting from or just ask someone in one of the shops, since you're there already?

We just briefly saw the property manager and he's not around. We haven't had a chance to go in any shops yet--just trying to do some advance planning so we don't waste time.

Go to google maps and search markets near via di San Giovanni Rome, Italy. I did it on my iPad near my apartment (which isn't far from you) and got a lot of results.

In Italy, there is a chain of grocery stores named COOP. Maybe googlemap that. Hope this helps.
