Marco Polo to Padua

What is the best way to get from Marco Polo Airport to Padua. Take the bus to Mestre and then train to Padua or is there a bus that goes directly?

The two main bus systems serving Marco Polo do not go to Padua. I can see their route maps online. There may be more private bus systems that do this but they are not on the airport's website. I would expect that you will need to take the bus to Mestre and then a train to Padua.

We flew into Marco Polo last year to take a Rick Steves Village Italy tour that started in Padova. There is an easy bus connection directly from the airport to the bus station in Padova. There is a kiosk that you can buy tickets inside the airport, very near to where the busses pick you up. Then you go outside and make sure the bus you take is going to Padova, about a 50 minute ride. Once the bus station you can take either a taxi or another bus to your hotel as necessary. Of it is walking distance to the Scrovegni Chapel also.

Last year, we went from Padua to Marco Polo, and ended up taking a limo service from door to door. It was maybe 50 or 60 euro for 2 (?) and great. A luxury I don't often go for, but I might have become spoiled. You might consider such a service. And by the way, we liked the Hotel AlCason in Padua.
