Yes, easy trip. Bus, when I did it a few years ago, left from the traffic island to the right outside the airport door. There is a sign on one of the support posts. You can buy the ticket at a window inside the airport. Luggage goes underneath the bus. Validate your ticket on the machine inside the bus (watch others).
Padua bus depot is next to the train station. Take the street car across the street from the right side of the train station to central Padua.
