March Trip Updates - Refunds and other info

Hey all, I just wanted to give everyone my update as to what's been going on. I have a trip scheduled (through Tripmasters) leaving March 21, getting back April 3 going to Venice, Florence, Positano, and Rome.

As of this morning, March 9, I was informed that I am able to change my flight without any penalty, as long as my new dates leave by May 31st and pay the difference in fare. I was also told that I can cancel without any penalty from the airline (I am a bit skeptical on this one and will confirm with them again). If I cancel all together, then I am still subject to penalty by the hotels. However, I contacted Hotel Villa Gabrisa in Postiano and they said I am able to change my dates without penalty (based on availability and room rates). So far, I haven't decided whether to cancel or change yet, but I've been looking at either going in late-May or mid-October (obviously gotta discuss with my wife before making any decisions).

Lastly, Italy has issued a public decree that all museums and sites be closed until April 3. The Doge's Palace is the only one who has info on their website that anyone who had pre-purchased tickets will automatically be refunded without having to submit anything (so long as their tickets are between now and April 3). I have not found anything regarding the Colosseum and Vatican yet, other than that they have closed as well. If anyone has any info, please share.

Thanks! And feel free to share your experiences as well!
