I have been looking for a map of Northern Italy that includes the Venito, Dolomites and area to incude the Lakes such as ( Como) . I may be looking in the wrong places so I would appreciate advise. We have our GPS all ready to go but I want a good map of the North!!

Maybe the Michelin maps come in different scales, but if you use the 1:400,000 you'll need two to cover the area you want. I have # 428 (Italia Nord-Ovest) which covers Milan, Lake Como, etc.,, and # 429 (Italia Nord-Est) which covers Venice and the Dolomites.
If you want more detail you might be able to find maps at 1:250,000---I found one for central Tuscany, but I'll have to check and see what kind it is---I don't think it's a Michelin.
Margaret,
I really like the "Italy North" map from Freytag & Berndt. I bought it online. I believe it was from their website. I find their maps easy to use because of the different colors they use for roads, borders, etc. Very easy to read while you are navigating in the car. Good luck.
I just checked on Amazon and you can get the Freytag & Berndt map there for $11.95.
Thanks to everyone
Wow, I guess that's what happens when you use these little netbooks--you don't realize your fingers are hitting many keys at once! And now, I can't seem to delete the extra entries--go figure. Oh, well, sorry for repeating myself, Margaret. Have a great trip!
