Many, many thanks!

My hubby and I just returned from our three-week Italian adventure. I want to thank those contributors who helped me SO much in planning this trip! I would list names, but don't want to overlook anyone. Know that if you have written posts in the past two years regarding experiences in Padova, Venice, Ravenna, Assisi/Umbria, and/or Bologna, I probably read--and learned from--them while planning. THANK YOU for sharing--your advice helped to make this trip a memorable experience! (I'll share my own trip report later this month.)

Renee, we stayed at Yard 19, a four-room B & B in Ravenna. I'd stay again. It's about a ten minute walk west of the train station,a few blocks from San Vitale and in the same block as the Domus dei Tappeti di Pietra. Our room was very clean and spacious; a lot of thought went into decorating. The bed was comfortable; there were extra blankets and pillows. No elevator. Breakfast is an extra 10 Euros per couple per day (croissants, pastries, small sandwiches, juice, coffee--good value for convenience, but it's close enough to a bar if you'd rather eat there). I found it on booking.com--this was one of the accommodations that I couldn't book directly so went through booking.com and everything went smoothly!

Laurel, YES to another trip! There was no time for Vicenza, Verona, or Treviso...then there are the Dolomites (got a tease as we flew over!)...Modena and surrounds...this was our second trip to Italy and we haven't been to Rome (I can already hear the shamers but it IS on the list!). Hmm...looks like I have more than one Italian trip to plan!
