Has anyone been to Mandello del Lario (10 km. N. of Lecco on Lago di Como)? If so, any recommendations on things to do & places to see? Since this town is the home of the Moto Guzzi Museum, I am intrigued. Thank you.

I've only been there once, for work actually, but I remember thinking it was very beautiful, especially how we drove in through Lecco and then up the lake to Mandello. It is just a nice town to walk around and have lunch, plus there are some really neat things to see in the vicinity. Just the view of the lake with the surrounding hills makes the trip worth it. Remember though that in summer the area is famous for its killer humidity.....

We plan to be there during the first week of October. I am lured by the Moto Guzzi motorcycle museum there.
