Confusing is all I can say. I arrive to Malpensa and the next morning need to head to Venice. Has anyone had that route and please advise on how you bought a ticket and from where? I am focused on a speed train. Grazie!

The high-speed trains depart from Milano Centrale station in Milan’s city center. From Malpensa Airport, the commuter “Trenord ”trains take about 1 hour to reach Milano Centrale train station. It takes about 2.5 hours from Milano Centrale station to reach Venezia Santa Lucia train station where the high-speed trains go. You can usually save money buying your high-speed train tickets online in advance at either www.TheTrainline.com or www.Trenitalia.com or www.Italotreno.com
Be sure to validate your train ticket before the journey begins or you could be fined.

Take the Malpensa Express to Milano Centrale
Will you spend that night in Milan?
Lots of decent hotels near the station
Then take a fast train from Milan to Venice

Been there, done that. I simply went to the Malpensa train station and bought tickets to Venice on the next available trains. Train to Milano Centrale then train to Venice. Very easy.
