Malpensa to Bellagio through Como

My plane is scheduled to land in Malpensa at 11:30am.

I would prefer to take the train to Como (town) and then take the ferry to Bellagio.

If I make the 1:20pm train from Malpensa to Como that arrives in Como at 2:44pm, would I have enough time to buy the ferry ticket and get on the ferry that leaves from Como to Bellagio at 3:10pm?

Is the 3:10pm the last ferry (this is for tomorrow Oct. 4)?

If you arrive at Como San Giovanni station you may or may not have a lot of time. You need a bus or taxi from Como SG to the dock. The dock is closer to the other station (Como Lago).

But no worries. I see fast hydrofoils also later in the day at 17:10, 18:40 and 19:10.

The itinerary suggested by the OP is to Como Lago station, arriving at 2:44 pm after a change at Saronno. It is about a 5 minute walk from the train to the ferry dock (1/4 mile). If there is not a big line at the ticket office and the train is on time, yes.

According to the on-line time table. there are also fast boats at 5:10 pm, 6:40 pm, and 7:10 pm. They cost more than the slow boats like the 3:10 pm.

Thank you.

I flew through passport control and baggage claim and made the 12:20pm train to Como Lago, but taking the ferry from Como on a Sunday afternoon is not a great idea. There was a huge line, and the 3:10pm ferry was sold out by the time I made it to the ticket window, so I took the 5:10pm instead.

Glad you made it.

So even arriving an hour early, there was still a big line. They do sell a certain number of advance tickets on-line, and when looking at this last Friday, it showed all the advance tickets were sold out on the 3:10 yesterday. So I guess that is something to look at. I hope you were able to relax at the bar across the street while waiting for the 5:10.
