Malpensa shuttle

When taking the Malpensa shuttle and buying tickets directly from the bus driver, is exact change required? And will we be carrying our bag onto the shuttle bus, or does it get stowed below?

As I recall they made change.

Main bags go in the belly of the bus. Your airline 'under the seat' size bag can come on the bus with you.

Gmatyas,
I know this does not answer your question but just wondering if you've considered taking the Malpensa Express train to Milan.
The train is not affected by street traffic.

I took the bus from Malpensa to Milan many years ago and was not very impressed by the scenery.

We generally take the Milan Shuttle bus because it is much closer than walking to the train. However, since we are in our 70s we now use Blacklane limo service.

You can also buy tickets inside the terminal, but make sure you buy tickets for Milano and board the bus going to Milano.

Anyway, we always liked the shuttle bus.

Buon viaggio,

I also recommend the train, Malpensa Express, it's quicker, isn't affected by traffic and very comfortable.
The bus drivers do have change
