Malpensa Express train or stay out by the Airport?

We have a 6:50am flight out of Malpensa (family of 4). Reading that the hotel airport shuttles don't start until 6am and they are not free. Should we stay in downtown or out by the airport? do they have taxis service from Somma Lombardo?

Those early flights from Malpensa. You'd be better off staying out by the airport. It's a frequently asked question here, so I put together a list of hotels near the airport.
