Malpensa airport: To Venice and from CT

I'm a little confused by what I've read online and in the RS book regarding travel to and from MXP airport....

What is the fastest way to get from MXP airport to Venice? Should we book in advance? Currently due to land at 630 am. More concerned about speediness than cost as we have limited time in Venice...

What's the best way to get from CT, Riomaggiore to MXP for our flight home? Guessing we don't need to book this in advance, as not flying out until the next day and staying at the Sheraton in the airport the night before- unless trains would get booked up? This would be a Sunday

Very easy. Take Malpensa Express train from MXP to Milan Central station. No need to book in advance, just buy ticket for next train when you finish immigration and exit the arrival terminal. Then take high speed train from Milan Central to Venice Santa Lucia train station. Both Trenitalia and Italo operate high speed trains on this route. Book with either company on website or app or ticket counter or use a sometimes easier third party agent like Trainline or Italiarail.

Regional train from Riomaggiore to Monterosso or Levanto, then IC train to Milano Centrale, then Malpensa Express train to Malpensa. Booking an advance nonrefundable ticket only saves 9 to 12 EUR, as the first and last trains are fixed price.

So, this would be going from CT to Milan on May 5th - And, I just saw the Train Strike info...
Will this still be doable? I'm a little confused about which trains are striking etc.
