saw reviews from 2011 on MXP hotels. anyone have anything to add since 2011? have a 6:30 a.m. flight and would like something "very close" to the airport. Thanks much. Dianne
The airport website has listings for nearby hotels and then you can check Tripadvisor. Hotel First has a good reputation. http://www.airportmalpensa.com/airport-hotels.html
thanks very much ! greatly appreciated. dianne
We recommend the Cardano hotel near MXP. Free airport shuttle, free wifi, very helpful, professional staff. Fresh croissants and cappuccino available very early (for us it was 4:45 am) if you have an early flight. We stayed there in Oct. 2012.
Thanks much, Charlene - I will check it out. Coming to Denver next Tues for a week -- all my family lives there :) Thanks again ! Dianne
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Malpensa Airport in 2011. It also has a free shuttle that you can catch for early flights.
We also liked Hotel Cardano-completely renovated a few years ago. Quiet and had good king size beds (if that is what you prefer).
Malpensa Airport is out by itself, and the terminal is on the other side of the airport from Milan. There are relatively few hotels close to the terminal. There is a Malpensa Inn, but it's very expensive.
Holiday Inn Express Milan - Malpensa Airport provides a roundtrip airport shuttle and it's popularly priced. It's probably as good as you can do.
We have stayed at the Hotel Villa Malpensa on several occasions and thought that it was a beautiful place to spend a final night in Italy. The restaurant was also excellent
We stayed at the "MXP Rooms Guest House" - a small modern business hotel very close to the airport - they provided a ride to and from the airport. Very reasonable price and we were able to walk to a wonderful small family owned restaurant close to the hotel. The young couple that owns the hotel - recommended the restaurant. The owner of the restaurant offered to come a pick us up - but we wanted
to go for a walk.
