Malcesine to Verona to Venice- private transfer/tour guide?

Good afternoon,

On our upcoming trip we will be staying in Malcesine at Lake Garda and after that we would like to go to Venice. On the day of transition we would like to see Verona. From reading various posts, it seems there is a ferry to Peschiera which would take us to Verona or a bus from Malcesine to Verona. I am wondering if anyone has a reference for private transport that might also double as a tour guide of Verona for us and then take us on to Venice? Or would this not be recommended? We are a family of five, no mobility issues, will each have a small suitcase and backpack.

I am open to suggestions. I would prefer not to spend most of the day on public transportation for the sake of saving some money unless the private transfer make this cost prohibitive.

Thank you.

I have a recommendation for a driver from Malcesine to (possibly) Verona. Whether he could double as a tour guide in Verona or take you to Venice I have no idea, but if you want to contact him, please send me a private message.

I'm not a big private transfer guy but driving is the certainly the fastest and easiest way from Malcesine to Verona. But the train from Verona to Venice is faster, cheaper and easier than driving. If you can arrange it I would suggest taking the driver to Verona and having him drop you off at the train station, stashing your bags there, and taking a quick taxi ride to the Piazza Bra. Explore Verona for a while, have lunch and then head back to the train station to continue on to Venice.

There is a taxi stand in Piazza Erbe when you want to head back to the station and Venice is ~1:15 away by fast train.

Since you're going to have to pay double the distance for the driver and any time spent Verona I think this will become prohibitively expensive to do what you're describing. I know the economies of scale are different with 5 people but early purchased fast train tickets from Verona to Venice are only about 15e and even full price ones are 28e. Stations are Verona Porta Nuova and Venezia Santa Lucia.

Have a great trip,

The ferry goes to Peschiera, then you need a train to Verona.. The train station is some way from the ferry stop.
Think about spending a night in Verona to break the journey. It's a nice small city with several poimts of interest.

The fastest to Verona is taking the bus. You have to change in Garda Town to the direct bus to Verona. (# 484 to Garda Town, then 162,163, 164 or 165 to Verona) .The ferry takes much longer.
But either way, you'd stay one night at Verona, because it is too far to go to Venice the same day.

From Verona to Venice you'd take the train.
A privat transport would be absolutely expensive.
