Making advanced reservations at the museums in Florence

I was planning to buy a Firenze Card, and I was also planning on making advanced reservations for the Uffizi and the Accademia. Am I correct in assuming that I cannot get the Firenze Card price if I make advanced reservations? We are going to both museums on Tuesday, May 31. If I am willing to get to the Uffizi by 8:15 when it opens and I have a Firenze card, do I need advanced reservations?

Firenze Cards eliminate the need for reservations: you enter both museums via a line for card holders. You only make an advance reservations if you do not intend to buy the card but want to skip the ticket line.
