Major Attractions that Should be Booked in Advance

What are some major attractions in the following cities that should be booked relatively far in advance (e.g. Last Supper):

  • Milan
  • Cinque Terre
  • Rome
  • Florence
  • Venice

First time to Europe and Italy so we are pretty clueless. Thank you!

Here are a few off the top of my head...

Milan - Last Supper and the opera if you are a fan.
Cinque Terre - sunshine? :-)
Rome - Vatican and Borghese Gallery. Colosseum underground and third tier tour
Florence _ Accademia and Uffizi
Venice - Doges Palace secret itineraries tour

You need some clues. Before I took my first trip (40 years ago), I looked at a lot of guidebooks. You will find lots of info in the RS Italy book or the Lonely Planet Italy book. You might waste a lot of time and perhaps money without some basics that either guidebook contains. The RS books are great for first-time travelers, with walking tours included in the descriptions.

A good website is roninrome.com. Lots of helpful info and photos of things you will want to know.

Enjoy planning!
