Lyon - Torino Frecciarossa September Booking Query

I'm traveling to Florence from the UK by train in mid-September, taking the Lille to Lyon Part Dieu route, followed by Lyon to Florence (via Torino). The Eurostar / SNCF tickets have been booked for a while now, but the tickets for the Frecciarossa leg (Lyon - Florence) haven't yet been released. Tickets for the same leg are available from late October onwards, with an irritating 4 week gap of no ticket availability at the time I am due to travel.

I booked the same route last year with all the legs of the journey booked by now (the Frecciarossa having been available in March of last year). I've checked out possible strikes / planned maintenance, but nothing is showing up.

The question I'm looking an answer for is this - is this one of those normal quirks of ticket releasing (and I should just wait) or could there be some significant line closures planned / strikes? I've got an alternative route planned (Paris-Munich-Bologna-Florence), but I'd rather stick to my original route (hotels around the train station in Munich aren't exactly cheap, even if the route itself promises some beautiful landscapes).

from the sncf-connect website (where did you check?)

Les TGV France/Italie (SVI) sont supprimés :

Du 11 septembre 22h35 au 9 octobre 22h35.

Cause : travaux du Tunnel Lyon-Turin de Aiguebelle à Modane.

and I would imagine the same goes for Frecciarossa, why is why none are in the database that runs bahn.com . The line is shut for yet more work on the tunnel.

Which brings us to your odd alternative. Is going via Munich something you actually want to do or did Chatgpt /similar mad AI system come up with it? There is a very reasonable alternative for Paris-Milano via Genève and if you start early enough you can even reach Firenze on the same day. So that would be Paris-Firenze in just under 11 hours by 4 trains.

But if you already have tickets as far as Lyon you may as well use them. I assume you intended spending the night there. Next day the 09:38 from Lyon Part Dieu to Genève has a connection to Brig and then another to Milano which will get you there by 16:55, gving a comfortable connection to the 18:10 Frecciarossa to Firenze arriving at 20:04
